These are interesting to me with respect to the x axis. I could see an argument either way, authoritarian or libertarian. Maybe that's an indication both should be closer to the x axis.

Yeah, I'm in no way close to anything libertarian. I think the creator of this graphic put that category on the libertarian end of the y axis because we, we being most people, believe the government has no role in gender and sexual identity. Even that isn't correct, at least for me anyway, as I think the government has a role in protecting people of all genders and sexual orientation.
