All this team has to do is win 4 dang games and they are in.

We're just going to have to win the whole damn thing

this next class better hit or Weber is going to be in trouble in a couple years

I am delighted that we will probably get the chance to see oscar get fired, instead of him merely retiring.  He should go out of the building holding a cardboard box full of his moments and house plants, and not receiving a gold watch.

Honest question for the "Never Brucers"... Did you actually enjoy the conference titles and the elite 8 run or were you just like... "Great! This is only going to extend this eff head". Honest question. I saw many curmudgeon about it.

Good to know. Also, was Frank just so much fun it ruined it for everybody? Would you take Frank now knowing he's a fraud and that his assistants did all the work for him?

it was fun beating Kentucky.  sucked we couldn't beat loyola.  but let's be honest, oscar isn't getting there without the first 16 beating a 1.

with oscar you just know the program isn't building to anything.  we'll get better probably in a couple years, but he's shown over his entire career that he can't sustain any type of success year after year.

Yup, the good years feel flukey and the down years feel baseline. And does anyone really have fun when a 4 seed and a first round loss are the high water mark?

the thing i can't understand with the oscar apologists is the pointing to 2 instances of co-winning the conference championship as if that is supposed to mean something about the quality of the team. Its like they are incapable of wrapping their minds around the idea that maybe the years we won a share of the title, the group of 10 teams that comprise the conference were not as good as they were in years past.

When you look back at some of the qatz football teams of the mid 90s and early 00s, those teams were v good but there was an even better nub or CU team preventing them from winning the conference.

Is there any truth to the rumor that Diarra is locker room cancer, and he's doing a Marcus Foster on Oscar?

No. Did you make that up?

so real talk, next years class competes for two big 12 titles with these guys. MARK MY WORDS

As good as the 2020 class is, it's only 4th/5th in the conference.

It's a whole body of work and it's the first time it's been done since '77. He literally ended KU's streak. It's not hard to wrap your brain around it.

This is such a dumb talking point, regardless of who the 16, 8/9, and 1 seeds are, or 15, 7/10, and 2. The 1 can lose to the 16 but not the 8? An eight beating a 1 is essentially a 4th place conference team beating a 1st place conference team on a neutral floor, in our particular case this is even more silly considering the style that Virginia team played and our comfort playing that same way. It would have been a highly defensive, snails paced game.

maybe we would have beaten Virginia, but given oscar's tournament track record i doubt it
