I know this has been billed as a two dose vaccine but with the data coming out, double edged sword on people not getting the 2nd dose (which is always a challenge to get people to come back).  On one hand it seems to work pretty well in one dose but it's maybe not that 95% effectiveness.  Wonder if there has been much discussion of doing only one dose to maximize coverage?

yeah, the only genuine defense is years of life saved, but even on that metric it doesn't hold up.  i'm sure you could come up with detailed formula that would put some younger people at a higher priority than some older people, but on a workable level very advanced age outweighs other risk factors and certainly the essential worker metric (as a broad category)
