Speaking of Europe, all in and all over it core EU countries pile on another 120K new cases yesterday dominating the continents daily totals.  In the last week Europe has added 1.7 million new cases. 

EU says there won't be enough vaccines (provided it works) for all of Europe until 2022.

Sedgwick Co health commissioner reports this morning that the Via Christi network is at capacity and Wesley is near capacity. Both entities are asking for funding and planning help for overflow. Not great Bob.

Trumper friend of mine just bet me $50 it would disappear after 11/3.   I took the bet.  This guy is usually pretty measured in the amount of true maga beliefs he subscribes to (he doesn't think you should inject bleach, he admits HCQ is for conspiracy believing idiots, the noise from windmills cannot cause brain cancer, he doesn't think rudy has videos of HB in kiddie porn etc.).

Primarily I would hope the CDC, NIH, and FDA have a stronger voice based on science rather if Biden wins. maybe more support for relief which would make winter shutdowns easier to sell  But really not much will change IMO.

Well Joe’s got a plan you see, and even though it much if not entirely like the current plan it’ll just be better. 

He’s going to listen the scientists and even though a large swath of medical professionals and scientists say lockdowns are a very bad idea.  Joe is willing to consider them on a national level. 

Joe is also going to take it seriously and they’ll lots of papers, people and committees talking about how seriously they’re taking the situation.   Relative to the potential cure, that will all be completely meaningless.

The US supporting the WHO will make worldwide vaccine distribution a whole lot better. The prospect of getting a vaccine under a Trump administration, even as a US citizen, sounds difficult. I see it being an "anyone who wants a test can get a test" situation all over again.
