I have no interest in beleaguering the point any further than I already have. But within their respective spheres of influence, I would say they have used their respective (and admittedly smaller) platforms, yes. I have no knowledge about Cain's financial or political profiteering that you refer to. I think it's equally if not more likely that he just really believed that crap, like many older conservatives (and some batshit progressives) do.
