Pence has said the air bridge distributions are skipping right past the re-sellers and distributors just a few days ago.   

While I agree this is not the time to "solve the problem" there is extreme culpability.   There's also extreme culpability at the state and local public health level.

here's a philosophical question...if the drug doesn't show efficacy over that a negative control population, then why take it?

really good interview with gates.  i find listening to him very clarifying both on details and for a broader overview.

incidentally, some of the things he mentions, but doesn't really dwell on, are just an insane abdication of responsibility on the part of the federal government.  the idea the federal government refuses to coordinate testing and that non-profits and private enterprises are going to have to come up with some way to coordinate and prioritize test access without government participation is just mind-blowing.
