Yeah, I mean if it’s true he intentionally blocked testing that very likely would make him responsible for hundreds if not thousands of American deaths (on the very lowest end). Like the motivation and death toll equivalent of ordering an air strike on a Trump protest. But MAGAs and Republicans probably won’t gaf even if it’s undeniable. Basically, we could have just used the WHO test which was freely available, but we decided to develop our own test, and then that test didn't work, so we had to develop a second test because we still refused to use the WHO test.

What is the theory behind the directive to not touch one's own face?

It came up this morning while washing my hands raw again, for which I'd have thought I could touch my face to scratch an itch.  But then I saw or heard something that said to wash your hands AFTER touching your face, which makes more sense - if you unknowingly have it, the virus comes out of your head holes and if you put it on your hands that you use to touch lots of things, that spreads it more.  And conversely, touching one's own face isn't putting a virus that's only on your hands into your body.

Right.  I guess as to the latter, I'm not aware of why it being on your hands before you can wash them isn't problem enough before you then put your hands on or near your intake holes.  Can it not pierce the skin on your hands and be inside you that way?  Does it have to literally get into you similarly to the previously mentioned starburst fighter jets?

so wash your hands after you touch your face and before you touch the doorknob.
