The usual's being the usual's.

#slowdug believed all the propaganda.  The sanctions were going to stop Russia, the Russians are running out of weapons, the Ukrainians are winning the war . . .

Still antivaxjones

Discussing the Army missing recruitment goals because of vax mandates makes you an anti-vax'er (another day with the profound logic of the leader of the not knowers - Steve Dave)

When it is a reply to the news of vaccines saving millions of lives it is very anti-vaxxy

I wonder how many lives the military recruiting 40% of their quota saves??? Might be a win-win for life saving

Yea they had some pretty good vaccine mandates, mandated flu, swine flu, anthrax, smallpox, all sorts of other shots when I was in the Army we had to take. Then again no complaints on my end since you know an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The worst shot by far is the anthrax shot in my opinion. The shot itself doesn't hurt but then it feels like your arm is on fire.

The saving of millions of lives is an estimate, and the simple facts are the Omicron variant isn't the killer that previous variants were, even for the unvaccinated (and it's extremely good at evading both natural and vaccine immunity).

At this point, it is a hyperbolic stretch to say a vax mandate is preferable over the military missing their recruitment targets by . .  . miles.

Particularly since there are people in this administration who are chomping at the bit to sign the US up for another very large war.

I got it in November, seems like my 6 months of immunity has expired and I’m on notice for my next infection.

It's fascinating to observe allegedly smart people standby and watch their most favored moderately effective prophylactics and drugs continue to have substantial troubles in fighting the pesky SARS-COVID-19 virus, yet they repeatedly go all on them at every turn.

Remember, the CDC modified the definition of a vaccine right before they released of the SARS-Covid19 vaccine.

Then to top it off, these allegedly smart people go all in on estimates of how many people the vaccine has saved while the virus itself has changed its symptomatic profile substantially since it originated from some place (and we'll likely never know exactly where).

I'm a bit surprised at #neoconGe's reaction considering the moderately effective prophylactic mandates are substantially impacting the recruitment of new meat for their war machine.

I propose that we wait and see what comes out of U.S. military relative to SARS vaccines rather than continue to allow Big Pharma (that weirdly #blueanon and #blueanon political leaders love) to string us along with their moderately effective prophylactics.

Dealing with SARS-Covid19 . . .it's a pickle.

My sister is a doctor and this happened to her as well...

At this point, if you get covid, you really should only take therapeutics if your symptoms are significant. If you have mild symptoms, taking them just to take them is not only pointless, it can have ramifications (like this). My sister ended up being away from treating patients for nearly two weeks when it coulda/woulda/shoulda just been 5ish days.

Getting antivaxxers out of the armed forces sounds like a huge bonus.

Definitely don’t want these pea brains in charge of our fancy gear

That's going to have to be replaced at 125% of the original price as it gets wasted on the derps in Ukraine.

The most vaccinated countries in the world are in the midst of yet another Covid wave.  But let's keep going all-in on Big Pharma's experimental prophylactics.

In good news, apparently the DOD's broader SARS vaccine is proceeding well through non-human clinical trials.

Dug, given your love of perpetual war, I am very surprised that you're so adamant that our DOD eliminate a substantial portion of our fighting force over an experimental prophylactic.

Particularly considering our own DOD is working on something much better that's going through real, non rushed, no emergency trials.

I would have expected that you would want our military at full force for #neoncong/#neoconGe's next war.  I'm proposing a real method to ensure #neocon/#neoconGe has the personnel for their war machine on an ongoing basis, and you just keep fighting it like a derp.

Weird, but expected.

Translation:  We don't really have a clue.
Arnold Monto, a University of Michigan epidemiologist and CDC Board Chair and top FDA vaccine regulator Peter Marks.:
Quote
“None of us has a crystal ball and we’re trying to use every last ounce of what we can from predictive modeling and data that’s emerging to try to get ahead of a virus that's very crafty," said

"Unfortunately, looking in the past doesn’t help us a great deal to look in the future for [a] virus that has baffled a lot of us and made predictions almost irrelevant,"

CoronaBrogE:  But keep creating policy off of all of those irrelevant predictions, tho
