Is that the consensus, to triple down as opposed to mix n match? Too early to say for sure?

i don't want to look for the tweet, but the data shows that moderna is the king of vaccines. it's the best booster for itself as well as for pfizer and j&j.

the caveat here is that the data i saw was apparently from a full dose moderna booster whereas the irl moderna booster is a half doser. i'd still 3x my moderna.

Has anybody seen any data for which flavor had the highest percentage of breakthrough cases? Very specific, but I'm curious which brand had the most breakthrough cases:
a. after 6-8 months of full vaccination
b. for 30-50 year olds
c. without any comorbidities
d. per 100,000 people

Got my GSK flu chip this AM. Does anyone know anyone who has had a confirmed case of influenza (rapid antigen detection test or PCR confirmed) since April 2020? I'm very curious to see if influenza comes back this winter.

I'm going to get double jabbed with boost/flu whenever I can find a day where I don't have to coach a youth sport and can just feel like crap if needed.

I mean most labs are doing a molecular (PCR) test that looks for influenza, COVID and RSV +/- a panel of other viruses so there is way more high quality testing being done for influenza. There were zero cases reported in our county during 2020-21 flu season. Will be interesting to watch.

Moderna and Novavax are both supposedly working on a combo shot. Novavax needs to get their crap together though. Also, I want to see boosters with activity against delta and whatever is coming after delta.

I just went ahead and scheduled a boost (moderna) and flu jab for this sunday morning. we have a flag football playoff game at noon which will be fine but if we win we will practice monday at 6 PM which may leave coach steve dave sidelined at home. hopefully I have no reaction like the first two though. tuesday we have baseball which even if I have a reaction I should be good to go by then I'd assume.
