To be fair, the Nashville Mayor's request was pretty dumb. He asked that bars on "Broadway and throughout Davidson County" close their business until further notice. "Restaurants" (defined as "public facilities where the sale of food comprises more than 50% of revenue) can stay open with limited capacity.
The 50% revenue cutoff seems like an arbitrary cutoff line that will have some pretty big financial impacts for these businesses. Why not just close it all down or limit capacity for all bars/restaurants?
