CanCo he owns and frequently wears an old timey navy hat  (like that sort of triangular shaped thing that napolean wore except front to back instead of side to side?)

I hear Gene Taylor wears boxer shorts with a Navy anchor pattern print fabric.   Can someone send a link where we can buy him boxer shorts with either old Willie or a power cat on them?

Army v Navy was more watched in 2018 than USC v Notre Dame, and Liberty Bowl had a large increase in viewership last year compared to 2017.

https://footballfoundation.org/news/2019/6/11/2018-19_Attendance_Release.aspx

Those aren't bad things  :dunno:

as in, maybe more casual viewers turn in for navy than notre dame? more people watching is not bad thing

How about because Army/Navy was the only game on that day, idiot?

I’m of the belief that Gene actually pushed for this bowl game in an attempt to get Klieman an easier matchup and his 9th win. More leverage for raises for both CK and himself.

Will publicly say the system is broken, and not admit he disliked the more difficult matchups of the other games and the possibility of a 5 loss season.

I’ve seen a lot of dumb crap posted on this board, but this might take the cake.

I like it. Not for getting raises reasons but getting the easiest matchup should be 100% of the goal if you aren’t in the playoff. Literally nobody remembers any of the bowl games outside of the playoff.

Yes. Bowl prestige is rough ridin' stupid. Get a game you can win and everyone has fun.

Plausible. Whats weird though is the Miami v LSU game was the only televised game of the day on Sep 3, 2018. Small sample size but viewership was 20% less for that game versus Army v Navy. And a casual football fan, likely, would expect a better game from two blue bloods, and Miami v LSU also had no other competition that day. Why, still, were more people watching Navy v Army than Miami V LSU...

Viewers in the millions for the top 5 games weeks 1-13 of the 2018 college football season:
1: 24
2: 28
3: 18
4: 23    ---> ND v GA 9 million viewers
5: 20
6: 25
7: 27
8: 22
9: 29
10: 19
11: 32   ---> LSU v Ala 17 million of those viewers
12: 24
13: 25   ---> day is November 23, just some shitty cold day

14 & 15 (rivalry and champ weeks) are much higher, with OSU v Mich and Ala v Aub accounting for 24 of 37 million viewers

they gave jeff long a b- but i think he deserves an f

Yeah, Obv graded without knowledge of the Beaty settlement; although starting down that path to begin with should have been a 2 letter grade deduction.

Their procedure is doodoo Chris DelConte's grade is laughable, as is Jamie Pollard's.

If this was a ranking of who is the most big time, Jamie Pollard would be #1.

I heard that Gene has a collection of floating ship models that he likes to take with him into the Jacuzzi to reenact naval battles over stormy weather. It's so weird.

Obviously too much Lysergic acid diethylamide combined with too much Lone Star Draft.
