OMG Bucket, it's like you live in some sort of information vacuum. Anytime the issue of improper usage of the FISA process and using things like the Steele Dossier to get FISA warrants has been brought up LibBot Nation lost its mind (We were against FISA until we were for it, because OrangeMan bad)

On a related note, IMO, Horowitz stating that there was no political bias in the FBI is a circling of the wagons event. It's quite obvious that there is a political bias in the FBI and the political campaign contribution records alone affirm that fact. Wonks protect Wonks.

In this case, improper usage of a FISA warrant means spying on a presidential campaign. Something that LibBot Nation has repeatedly lost its mind over when it's brought up for going on nearly 1200 days now. Quite clearly it was politically motivated improper usage of the FISA process so Horowitz stating that it wasn't is positively

Nice cut and paste from Wikipedia, in addition, I've been critical of the U.S.'s treatment of Russia in the post cold war era which only lead to the situation we have now between the two countries. The lowest of ebb of U.S. - Russian relations in the post cold war era, and a new arms race. Does that make me a Russian spy? Is there anything that you can point to, besides the era of the great bendover that vacillated (weirdly) between completely bending over to Putin in geo-strategic instances and being weirdly adversarial in others . . . where the U.S. has been nothing short of militaristic-ally aggressive towards Russia and its proxies?

Did Bush use FISA to spy on John Kerry? John Kerry, a man who had a persistent history of repudiation of U.S. foreign policy, who, arguably was providing aid and comfort to communists fighting at the behest of the Soviet Union against the United States. In addition John Kerry had multiple foreign business entanglements via family members with known communist regimes like Vietnam. The same John Kerry in pictures loving all over the Muslim Brotherhood as SOS and engaging in sedition later by directly contacting the Iranian government when he was not an authorized representative of the U.S. Gov't.

Using LibBot logic, it appears that Kerry would have been the perfect candidate for a FISA based investigation both as a Senator, a presidential nominee and a private citizen. But alas, no weaponizaton of FISA against political opponents by Bush.
