OAN:  You can drink beer on campus while tailgating even though it's "against the law".  Just bring a cooler and put it in a cup.

Are we allowed to put ice in the cooler? I've heard it's illegal to drink cold beer there.

Also are the "adult milkshakes" mentioned earlier warm?

I'm sure by game time they will be warm as will all of our arses.

Idiots running the metal detectors and limited gates open.  Many people complained to our AD so hopefully it's improved this week.  Last game was poorly attended due to the heat and it still took forever.  Tons of folks stayed at the tailgate and watched the game on TV in the shade.

Ew

The heat index was 115 in the student section.  Most of the west side was in the shade by 3:00 but that won't be the case with the early game.

The cotton district looks neat.

Weird that it's all owned by the mayor. He's like the feudal lord of Starkville it seems.

Not the mayor now.  But it is a pretty cool place.  They close down the street for certain events and because it has "resort" status when the street is closed you can bar hop with drinks in hand.  Any of you from Wildcat nation making the trip should check it out.

And yes he owns most everything in that area.

Yeah some drunks got into a fight and one got sucker punched.  Allegedly, the culprits weren't even students at State but in their mid 20's; reliving the "glory days" I suppose.

LOL Like the Kansas territory didn't have slaves...

And none is the answer.

I like that you glossed your statement by saying Kansas "territory." The State of Kansas never had slaves. We fought a war against Missouri to be sure of that.
