if you believe you will vote for a candidate different than the candidate you prefer, you should answer with name of the candidate you will vote for.

however, i would caution you that this is not an exercise in predicting the future.  i am not asking you to divine the candidates that will be still actively campaigning by the time your state votes.


you may resolve any tension inherent to the clarifying statements above as you best see fit.

I believe Warren will win the primary and I guess I will vote for her in the general. I’ll probably vote for that awful Walsh guy in the primary unless some hero moderate pub congressperson steps up.

I want to vote for whoever keeps the largest number of potential Trump voters from voting for Trump. At this point, I'm not sure who that is, so I'll vote for Gen X and vote for Beto.

I think I’m still team Pete, so that’s who I voted for. 18 primaries will have been completed before I vote, so it will come down to a practicality decision. I’ll vote for almost anyone outside of the top 3 with a chance to beat Warren/Sanders, and I’m not optimistic on how the next six months are going to go for Geezer Joe

Figured it out, I'll get a ballot and will be able to vote for anyone in the primary but to vote for a democrat or a republican will require me to say I'm a democrat or a republican and that info going to the parties and them sending me mail and calling me.  I'll only do that if it's looking like a close call between a normal and a weirdo.
