Claws’s Legacy
« on: March 19, 2019, 06:17:40 PM »
:dunno:

Given that he is again doubtful for the NCAAs...

Pretty (really?) good when on the court, but unavailable at crunch time. #3 out of our seniors?

P.S:  Dean if you read this, there is still time to play in the tournament and redeem your legacy.

He made back to back first team all big 12 teams on one foot.  I mean he’s a legend.

Dean was a really good player for KSU when he was on.  He sometimes completely disappeared from the game when he got timid.  However he was a great overall cat and will be remembered as such.  Will be weird not seeing him on the court anymore, he's been a staple the past 4 years.

Not as hurtful of a KSU medical butchering as David Hoskins’.

he will be remembered for much more than he was.
i mean, 12 ppg.  if his jersey does get retired i’d expect to see hanging up in the rafters only part of the time.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I mean, it’s clear now that Barry is the tops in this senior class, I think #2 is up for debate, and if Kam has a good tourney, the debate is over.

I really really want to love Claws, and I mean I do like the guy, especially when he's on. But man....I LOVED David Hoskins. Wonder what that guy's up to.

Man, he’s way up there for me. He’s a rare what-might-have-been case, because he still has some pretty heavy accomplishments/ moments that we can look back on. I’ll miss watching him play greatly.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

He was a damn good player.

I'll remember him having some really good games, don't remember many great games but that's because he usually did it pretty quietly, I guess.

I think I will forever remember his missed 3 at the end in Lawrence, though. That could've been a legacy/defining moment.

He's probably the most inside/out player I've seen at K-State since Beasley. So yeah, he was really fun to watch. Top 10 cat for sure.

Wade was plenty frustrating at times between injuries and refusing to take open shots on occasion, but he was a key part of STRA1GHT and I will always cherish him for that.

I'll admit my basketball cat fandom has waned under King oscar but man I can't even think about Wade in the top 25 of players since the 80s much less ever. Just so many missing and / or quiet games. Stats probably prove me wrong though.

Hanging his jersey in the rafters?  Isn't that usually reserved for elite all-american type players, or is the criteria to qualify pretty easy these days?

yep.  barry gave a lot more to this team than wade because he had a lot more to give.
he’s a player that coaches love to have on their team but rarely do.  oscar was lucky to have bbj.

dean, we hardly knew ya

How many players have we had put together back to back big 12 first team seasons? I think it’s only Jake and Dean.
