If you are a fun person that likes fun summer movies, Pacific Rim is quite entertaining.

Armageddon, Independence Day, Jurassic Park: if you liked any of these three movies, you will like Pacific Rim, nostalgia aside, they both contain the same soft narrative and week plot turns but are able to overcome them through sheer majesty.  I love a  good thought provoking film as much as the next gent, but i think i can lax my standards a little for the right movie.  If you want a glimpse into the human soul, i'm sorry but this isn't your movie.

For the record, gE has convinced me to try and watch Spring Breakers, despite my best judgment.

Glad the Royals played a day game so I can focus my attention on Sharknado!!! It only took 20 minutes into the movie for Tara Reid to make her first appearance. She doesn't look a day over 40.

Watching Sharknado right now. Maybe the greatest Ian Ziering movie EVER.

Give the guy credit, he went all out.

man, he just crushed it.  i was actually crying at one point during the helicopter scene (lol tears)

I saw Pacific Rim on Friday night with the bros.  It was actually a good time.  I'm not saying the movie is for everyone, but I enjoyed it.  The plot is ridiculous, but so what?  Giant monsters vs giant robots has worked for many years so why stop a winning forumla (Voltron, Power Rangers, prolly a bunch of other stuff).

I used to enjoy watching Power Rangers so I probably should see Pacific Rim...also Charlie Hunnam

i'm going to watch Cloud Atlas tonight, i think

I enjoyed it quite a bit, blast, and I think you will too.

*ProtiP* tho: I will tell you to ignore the fact that the same actors play different parts in each of the six storylines. It's distracting from what's actually happening.

Cloud Atlas can only be admired for its scope and futuristic visuals. Try to link the characters/actors.

a very enjoyable movie.

When I saw the commercial my first thoughts were Clay and Jax from SOA.  Of cuorse I will see that movie!!  Also, when I am seeing a summer movie on a hot and hungover afternoon I just expect to be entertained with a little action/humor/hot chicks.  If it has some of each, even better.

Saw Despicable Me 2 with lady BR because she really wanted to see it.  I hadn't seen the first one but would say its a pretty decent flicks.  Everyone's kids will enjoy it and you wont hate it

I fell out of my chair during the last scene. It had it all. Action. Drama. Love.  Incredible cinema.

This is exactly what I disagree with.

If only it had a quarter of the heart of Jurassic Park or ID4.

Pretty unfair to compare anything to jurassic park, since it's the best "summer" movie of all time.

Fear X, Side Effects, Morning Glory, Jack Reacher, Wuthering Heights, Man of Steel and Mud were all fairly enjoyable and much better than Pacific Rim.

Really liked Fear X.

I knew PoetWarrior was a phony when he denied being drunk with Limestone a handful of times. I know Limestone, and I trust Limestone. Probably with my life it came down to it. So there's no way I'm believing P-Dub's word over Limestone's word.

I recently watched grumpy old men over again..  love those guys
mickey from rocky has a classic line.. Looks like Chuck's taking old one-eye to the optometrist..
I also love good outtakes at the end of the movie and this had those also  :D
