Haven't seen pacific rim yet, but I'm totally convinced it's the best movie since Jurassic Park.

bro in law is "in the biz" he is super excited for this movie.
Has a couple of "dumb action movie" scenes/plot points, but overall A+ film, Charlie Day is full on Charlie Day

isn't spring breakers just another disney tv princess movie?  I dunno.  Saw a preview and almost barfed.  I'm so sick of Disney tv shows except phineas and ferb.
Good Luck Charlie has taken the torch for the Disney Channel imho

yes, GLC is a fantastic show, disney or not.  i have an unhealthy obsession with the mom.

austin and ally is such a tease.  like, we wait a whole season for austin and ally to get together, and when they do it's really half-assed.  :don'tcare:

I enjoyed it quite a bit, blast, and I think you will too.

*ProtiP* tho: I will tell you to ignore the fact that the same actors play different parts in each of the six storylines. It's distracting from what's actually happening.

I saw Pacific Rim on Friday night with the bros.  It was actually a good time.  I'm not saying the movie is for everyone, but I enjoyed it.  The plot is ridiculous, but so what?  Giant monsters vs giant robots has worked for many years so why stop a winning forumla (Voltron, Power Rangers, prolly a bunch of other stuff).

Don't take it too seriously and you will have a good time.  Plus, when I was pak'd with the bros later I got to use the line: "my jaeger would pound so hard on that kaiju."  Worth the price of admission for that clever quip.

It really was great, and I'm glad that they skipped right into year 7 of the Kaiju war. I was kind of worried that the movie would be about some monster attacking the US and then having to sit through 1.5 hours of the world building a giant robot to fight it. It got right to the action and it was pretty badass all around.

I couldn't agree more NK.  I was expecting a few monsters, but got so much more fallout from the years of these fights.  I also wasn't expecting to see the politics behind the "wall of life" which was actually intersting from a sociological stand point.  I am not trying to argue that this movie has some huge deep meaning, it was just unexpected.  Here is my advice: go in thinking it is an average at best movie and much on some popcorn.  The CGI is outstanding and just have fun knowing you are watching a movie about giant robots and monsters.

My posts are clarified by asterisks, but they are not needed to discern the message.

I have seen many motion pictures in 2013. Spring Breakers is many, many times better than Pacific Rim, which I hated. The way that it is described by most is totally incorrect.

Spring Breakers has a purpose.

Cloud Atlas can only be admired for its scope and futuristic visuals. Try to link the characters/actors.

This is basically spot on.
