disagree pete, hobbit was way better than LOTR.  only watched the first LOTR, but it was one of the most boring movies i've ever seen in my life.  hobbit was at least watchable to enjoyable.

I have not seen any of the LOTR movies. Also have never watched any of the Harry Poter movies. Kind of proud of this by the way.

It's a little over 300 pages, but yeah, I agree. There is a lot that happens in The Hobbit, though, and they added some things that weren't in the book to make the first movie more compelling.

I don't get it. Makes me mad. Doing it as a trilogy is just a flagrant money grab.

Watched Beginners last night with Ewen Mcgregor and Shoshana from Inglorious Basterds.  It was decent.  A little more morose than I would have preferred, but still good.  Shoshana is probably my favorite actress ever.

I watched the Muppets this morning, with 4 others ages 8-11, and we all agree it was fantastic.
