Bought Cabin In the Woods on one of those early release purchases on Zune.  Worth it.

It was a hoot.  Very fresh concept.  I had a lot of fun watching that movie.  It's been a while since I have been able to say that.  Just a lot of fun.

saw it in the theaters twice.  you're a good dude pete.

The one testicle speech was pretty great.

Yes, very funny in a wtf sort of way.

:dubious:
It was the delivery.

Also the setting and the lesson imparted.  Plus he puked.

This doesn't sound funny at all.

It's definitely not for everybody.  My wife stopped watching about half way through.

That was taken a long time ago with my old flip phone.  I think Johnny Wichita has it now.

I didn't even know Ball Jars were a thing until all this.  Went to the store looking for something like that and found those but in too small a size.  I had to have "Ball" brand jars.  You can only order them in paks of 12.  So, I've still got 10 unused ball jars.  I just gave one to a girl at the office that may be getting a cyst removed.

Will they just give you anything they cut out/off of you? all you have to do is ask?

It wasn't easy.  Surgery was at one of the Via Christis so you're dealing with pseudo-nuns at the front desk.  I explained I was interested in getting it back if they were done testing or whatever, and I guess nobody ever asks.  Eventually they connected me to a dude in the lab who said he could get it back to me.  I go up there and he'd handwritten a release on a blank piece of paper and then gave it to me in this knockoff tupperware thing filled with ball and formaldehyde inside a walmart bag.  I waved to the nuns as I walked out with it, but was scared to mess with it until a buddy who was a doctor came to town with a bunch more formaldehyde and the willingness to help.  We got drunk and tried to put in a cookie jar that we realized was way to big.  Then he used a tootsie roll pop stick to wedge it into the formaldehyde tubes he brought.  Next morning, I learned of the ball jars and had them off amazon later in the week.

I actually knew that.  Caught it in a previous thread.  My wife doesn't have any and she didn't like it either.  Like I said, not for everybody.  Possibly testicle-related?  :dunno:

Looks a bit like someone pooped in a Ball-brand jar.  :frown:

Just rewatched Casablanca. Amazing how the dialogue is still sharp and entertaining 70 years after it was made.

On some recent trans-pacific flights, I watched the following motion pictures, in order from best to worst:

1) Safety Not Guaranteed - pretty funny, kind of sweet
2) Five Year Engagement - OK for a rom-com, lots of f-bombs and dick jokes
3) Men in Black III - lots of action
4) The first 15 minutes of What to Expect When You're expecting (it was so awful I had to turn it off)
5) Lola Versus - worst movie evar.

Watched Moonrise Kingdom last night, loved it.  Probably my favorite Wes Anderson movie.  I'm a big fan of the childhood adventure (E.T., Super 8, Stand by Me, Swiss Family Robinson, Goonies, Space Camp, etc.) genre.

I thought skyfall was just so-so.  I like Bond movies, so I was entertained.  But I'd rank it way lower than the 3 main Bourne movies.

i'm not into bond movies at all, but saw skyfall because i love the director.

seemed like waste of director talent imo, but skyfall was alright.  the villain was one of my favorite ever though.
