Saw "Moonrise Kingdom" last night.  It was delightful.  A little bizarre in a "typical Bill Murray movie" kind of way, but otherwise very enjoyable and fun.  Anybody else see it yet?

Very good film, and very typical of a Wes film. Meticulous art direction and dry, witty, humor.

I also watched Stranger than Fiction.

I liked it.  I didn't know that Dustin Hoffman was in it.  I love Dustin Hoffman - especially in Hook!

Stranger than Fiction may be my favorite Will Farrell movie.  For someone who was in high school during his prime comedy years, I think that is probably pretty strange.  Dustin Hoffman is great.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I remember thinking it was pretty good at the time but after The Dark Knight, it really seems slow and pretty uninteresting.

i was kind of surprised.  i always thought christopher nolan was batman, had him confused with christian bale.  regardless, batman's voice sounds completely stupid.

The background story is pretty necessary to the trilogy. I hadn't seen Begins for a few years but watched it last night, its definitely not as good as the other two but it is still a pretty good movie.

Katie Holmes >>> Maggie Gyllenhaal
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

I admit that mags is the far superior actress, but my natural hatervision just cant stand how she looks. I think Begins is awesome because it is all ninja battles and crap.

Ugly?  Seriously?

Either way, I bet she'd be glad you don't think she's hot/want to wear her skin as a bathrobe.

Yeah, she might not be super-hot for a movie star, but ugly is a ridiculous statement.  95% of the posters on this board would be ecstatic to hook up with a girl that looks like her.  Including you, BTKKK Charlie Manson.

Liars are ugly

I went to google image search to re educate my position and now issue a retraction. She can be hot.  I just hate her in batman. She was also hot in that dumb will ferrel movie but that was enhanced by how repulsive wil ferrel is.

i spent all day at work today reading this entire thread. i wouldn't have spent it any other way. i'd just like to touch quickly on my most memorable movie viewings of this past semester or two.

i loved: midnight in paris, hugo, crazy stupid love, the hunger games, my week with marilyn, 50/50
i hated and just want to forget: the vow, twilight: breaking dawn (just the worst)

also, i had very low expectations for 'in time', but found myself surprisingly intrigued the entire way through. i thought the concept was awesome, and yes maybe they could've done a little more with it, but overall i was pleased.

i saw 'another earth' and really liked it. another movie with a fantastic concept. at first i hated the ending, but then after a lot of deep thought, i just loved it. after my introspection, the ending felt so right.

and finally, poet warrior, i have indeed seen 'spirit of the beehive', it was probably about 3 years ago. thought you might enjoy that a third person on the board has seen it. the symbolism of the film is just wonderful--a very haunting story connecting to a horrible period in spain's history. however, as far as enjoyability and entertainment value, that movie's completely awful.
