what did you think about madagascar 3?

I enjoyed it a great deal.  The Penguins play a prominent role in the show, which are my favorite characters.  The chips a close second.

I think they could have gotten rid of the entire french animal cop part, and not have missed a beat...detracted from the movie, IMO.

Here's what I like, that one penguin going around talking like Captain Kirk and monkeys doing awesome crap.  Give me more of both of those.  Also, less hippo...she is terrible, just awful.

jesus christ you just rough ridin' nailed it. the only good french animal cop part was when she broke out of the jail and they were all like "well obviously it's the old hidden tunnel behind the poster bit...".

It was supposed to be a straight prequel, but there are a few things that don't exactly make sense. For instance, Alien takes place in 2031, and Prometheus takes place in 2093. But besides that, it's pretty much a prequel.

Prometheus:

Haven't watched Alien since I was like 12.  Would I need to rewatch it to enjoy Prometheus?

this looks like something that i might be interested in. how was it?

Prometheus viewers: Saw this the other day and found it pretty interesting. Don't know if I 100% agree with all of the analysis, but it is pretty on point from what I can tell...

Alien takes place in 2122.

Well then this shot in Alien is very confusing (although I still got the year wrong):

It's the 2037th interface. How many interfaces do you use that have the year in their name? Don't rough ridin' say windows 98

Also it's hilarious that people making movies imagined that computers would still suck ass hundreds of years in the future.

No idea. All I'm saying is I watched this movie a couple days ago, saw that, and assumed it was the year. It seemed like something they would establish early in the film, and that scene is at the 8:52 mark, so I figured it would make sense. I'm glad someone corrected me because it makes a lot more sense.

Black Swan ---- Whoever said this was a bad film blew it and blew it big. See this film and every other Aronofsky film.

A solid knowledge of Alien allows for Prometheus to be the best of the series. It's a series.
