xmen first class is a decent comic movie.

Can we have a separate thread for PoetWarrior reviews? Like, what the hell is he even saying?

melancholia:
first half was dreadfully boring.  second half was interesting.

i didn't really get the "omg what a depressing movie" vibe that i've heard most people say.  fast forward an hour and you have an ok movie.

Also, just watched "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". Very meh. Probably just a victim of overhype.

i've never heard of it but i decided not to watch it, despite dlews recommendo.

2.5 hrs is too long.  i could watch real housewives of orange county, then rewatch it, then watch Watch What Happens Next in that amount of time.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

That's true, but unless The Real Housewives has a special feature where somebody's daughter disappears, one of the housewives is a mass murderer, and a goth chick is hired to solve the mystery, it just won't be the same experience.

I really enjoyed 50/50. I can see it being one of those movies that only I like because it catered to things I enjoy (awkwardness, emotional with a twist of comedy). But man, what a great flick.

Not fun. Angsty 40 yr olds bitching, with a nonsensical twist, and a horrendously inaccurate portrayal of "party supplies." No thanks. The soundtrack is good though.

watched "Extremely Loud & Dangerously Close."

Assumed I would hate it, but I enjoyed it.  Little kid is a good actor.
