Tale of Two Cities (1958)

What a story.  Old Sydney is probably my favorite character in any piece of literature.

Sherlock Holmes 2, which I'll probably get killed for saying this, but I agree with the trailer and think it is better the first one

Haven't seen the movie.  Seems like it would translate poorly to the screen.  Soo many characters with so much detail.

Was a fantastic book.

Isn't it amazing when you watch a movie made more than 5-10 years ago and it doesn't suck? Just rewatched The Man Who Would be King for the first time since I was a kid. Still great. Would be a good remake, expect they'd probably put Nicolas Cage in it.

Do not understand the Hugo love. Cool visuals, solid acting, etc. But pretty forgettable story.

Yeah, but the visuals and directing make up for the story. It's a kids movie, can't be too great of a plot.

Black swan.

I still think this is the best movie this side of the year 2000.

The book is amazing. It's nothing at all like Twilight. It's a murder mystery.

movie was pretty well done.  could've just been my hangover, but i think it might be confusing for the casual viewer who hasn't read the books - the pace seemed (necessarily) quick to me and might be hard to follow.

i didn't really find it any better or worse than the swedish version.  salander in this one fit more with the vision i had of her than in the swedish version.  skarsgard as martin vanger was basically perfect imo.
