Heard the same thing. Would love to see how Hemingway is portrayed. What an interesting historical figure.

it was a really good cast.  i don't know historical figures well enough to appreciate all of them.  F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald were good as well.

Picked up Get Low yesterday.  Knew nothing about it but saw that Murray and Duvall were in it so it couldn't be terrible right?  Wrong, it sucks

Mark your calendars and we'll all meet up here to discuss.

Basically being on the verge of tears for two and a half hours was kind of exhausting, but this was probably the most beautiful film I've ever seen.

I really hope this happens. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/movies/2011/05/terrence-malick-looks-to-imax-documentary-to-extend-tree-of-life-explorations.html

Tree of Life

Great!

I'd see it, but I don't care if it is ever completed.

i'm usually the one playing devil's advocate when it comes to movies but i watched that with ms tobias the other day and we almost left.  if it weren't for emma stone's character we probably would have.

Well, I'm pretty easy to please, so take all of my reviews with a fwiw. I thought it was a well written movie, though it would have been much better with somebody other than Steve Carrell. Everyone else was pretty good.

I have no idea if you would like it.  It seems like he may be making fun of old rural people with the movie.  But he may jus be allowing people to perceive what they will.  Errol is not big on inserting his commentary in his docs.

Please watch it and tell me your feelings about it.  It is rather short, and hearing your thoughts would better inform any future recommendos I may make.

Also: watch the coal mining doc Harlan Co.

Seeing "Fright Night" later today.  Have heard it described as a "scarier Twilight" and "Lost Boysish."

Meh, I love Vampires and it's the theatre with the beer.

Mark your calendars and we'll all meet up here to discuss.

This will receive a wide release on July 8th, so only another week or so! But if you live in Fredonia, Cimarron, Atwood, Sabetha, Waldo, Seneca, Leoti, Pittsburg, Larned, or Lyons you may be out of luck and need to visit a larger town.

I recommend you seek it out when it comes to a town near you.

We can wait until everyone has seen it for a discussion.

poetwarrior, i went and saw this tonight and absolutely loved it.  it was a lot to take in for the uninitiated though and i kinda want to go back again and watch it.  thoughts?

p.s. -  this film is incredibly beautiful and ugly, just like life.  mostly beautiful though.
