Heard the ending of Super 8 was terrible but that the rest of the movie made up for it.

thinking about a movie tonight....having a hard time deciding between x-men and super 8.

is x-men more actiony or more backstory/character development?  cause i just wanna see crap blow up.

is super 8 more cloverfield or goonies?  again, just wanna see crap blow up.

I haven't seen Super 8. X-Men has a lot of backstory/character development, but there is a satisfying finale. There is probably more crap blown up in The Green Lantern than Super 8 and X-Men, but that movie looks pretty bad.

Just got out of Mr. Popper's Penguins.

Went with three other people.  The other guy I was with loved the penguin pooping parts of the movie.  Both girls seemed to like the baby penguin parts of the movie.

Overall, I would say that it's going to get some Oscar attention in the category of movies with penguins.

What do you think Morgan Freeman would think of the movie?

Watched super 8 last night.  Good movie overall, can confirm ending is not very good, but I'm not mad I watched it.  IMAX is probably the way to go if you bring a date and want her to be scared the whole time.

Super 8.  Liked.  Fun flick.  Kid actors are dece for kid actors.  Nothing deep, but well done.

It's a pretty racist movie, IMO, so he'd prolly hate it.  No colored people in this movie at all.

This. Directing was great.
Seemed like a mix of E.T. and Cloverfield. Especially since Abrams directed it and Spielberg was the producer.
Watched Vanilla Sky tonight.  I feel like everything that Inception lacked for me, Vanilla Sky had.  It emphasized a lot of the philosophical questions that I feel like Inception avoided.

I really enjoyed it.

Prob top 5 movie for me all time. I think I would have done the opposite of him though once I figured out how to control the nightmares.

Mark your calendars and we'll all meet up here to discuss.

This will receive a wide release on July 8th, so only another week or so! But if you live in Fredonia, Cimarron, Atwood, Sabetha, Waldo, Seneca, Leoti, Pittsburg, Larned, or Lyons you may be out of luck and need to visit a larger town.

I recommend you seek it out when it comes to a town near you.

We can wait until everyone has seen it for a discussion.
