My wife and I recently stumbled upon a gem of a movie on Netflix titled 'Yesterday'. Has anyone seen this? Unique premise and we really enjoyed it.

We also watched Damsel with Millie Bobby Brown. It was pretty good. It was fine.

i went to The Zone of Interest a couple weeks ago. it was great, and i am not surprised it won the oscar for sound editing. i'm really glad i saw it in theaters because it allows you to get the full effect of the subtle noises in the background (which is a concentration camp because they live next to Auschwitz). haunting stuff.

Cabrini was very good.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure - zero complaints. Despite all of the glowing reviews, it was even better than I anticipated. I don't think I have seen it before which is crazy since I grew up watching Pee Wee's Playhouse. Perhaps parts of it but never start to finish.

Maybe a complaint but maybe just it's good regardless but when he is pulling all that chain out of his bicycle to lock it up you can see it going through the bottom of the bike's compartment and I noticed it the first time and it always bothers me.

Sorry if you gotta live with that too.

Is this the one where they Mandela Effect The Beatles? It's lovely.

I watched 5 of the movies up for Best Picture this year. Oppenheimer was probably, considering the competition, the easiest movie to predict winning Best Picture in a while.

Barbie was Barbie. Very enjoyable, but no one was going to actually vote for it.

Poor Things reminded me of Black Swan in 2010, low hanging fruit for "psychedelic best picture" nominee that everyone was okay voting for second place, but no one would vote for it for first place.

The Holdovers would be incredible as a play, but I think as a very simple movie, it had the odds stacked against it. But the performances were incredible.

Killers of the Flower Moon was exactly what I expected. It probably won 2nd or 3rd place in every Oscar category.

I cannot imagine any list of movies, no matter how good, where Jurassic Park is ranked last!

Holdovers was enjoyable. Not something I'd watch again but a nice feelgood type.

Oppenheimer was fine. I think I liked it less than most. I don't understand why it was so long. They easily could have shortened it to make it a more compelling movie.

Finally watched Talk to Me, which lived up to the hype. Great horror movie.

Loved The Holdovers.

The musical score carried Oppenheimer as the movie itself was definitely too long.

There was a 1997 version with Jack Lemmon and George C. Scott. It's basically the exact same movie, so no need to watch it.
