The scenes where they develop the songs are fun. The final concert. It didn't deserve Best Picture or anything but it certainly didn't suck.

Yeah, Maverick is was a total Ameriboner. Like yla and blast said, just an awesome theater experience. Saw it at the Warren Old Town in the showcase room on July 5. The audience in attendance started clapping and gave a standing ovation. I’ve never experienced that before.
Really? I've been to multiple movies where that has happened. I always think it's strange. Like, is the projectionist supposed to come out and take a bow?

In the Progressive "Young Home Owners Turning Into Their Parents" commercial one girl does this and the guy's response is, "Don't clap. No one who made the movie is here."

I saw that and totally enjoyed it

why not just watch the actual final concert?

The Nicname household is a big-time Mads household. And by household I mean, nicname himself … myself.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Has anyone else seen Elvis? I thought it was a crazy unique lens to tell a story through.

We finally saw Top Gun: Maverick in the theater.  I don't see many movies in the theater but this was one I really wanted to see on the big screen but we just hadn't been able to make it yet.  SO GOOD.  I mean this movie just vaulted to the top of my all time faves I think.  Action, emotion, comedy, and just the right amount of nostalgia.  Tom Cruise was amazing as usual.  I loved it.  I just absolutely loved it. My wife loved it as well. I think I might take the kids next week if it's still in the theater.

Plus an interesting thing is that everyone I know told me how great and amazing it was.  So my expectations were super high, but then they were exceeded.  Rarely happens. Very rarely.

Very much enjoyed The Green Boom. Viewed on Alaska Air flight from KC to PDX. I’m flight movies are a great viewing experience. Many raccoons as well.

I went in not knowing anything about it and was underwhelmed.  Could have been an episode of X-files and not a full length movie.

Agree with everything and honestly thought it was kind of stupid and leaning towards not very good.

The only thing above ok about nope was keke Palmer. The rest was meh and the movie itself seemed like a reboot of Signs which is twenty years old and also not very good.

Went last night to this with Mrs Dave. Maybe I had too high expectations but I thought it was very boring. Kept checking the time to see if it was almost over yet. Probably just not the kind of movie for me and a ME problem tbh.
