I watched John McEnroe In the Realm of Perfection last night. Great french filmmaking snobbery and a look at McEnroe as a competitor. 5 out of 7! It's on prime!

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I saw Tenet and holy eff did I need subtitles. My head was already spinning because of how crazy the concept is, and then trying to follow the storyline on top of this crazy world Nolan built was overwhelming. Will watch again because of how much is revealed towards the middle and end of the movie, but hot damn. Still fun as eff just for the visuals and concept.

We watched Tenet last night, with sub-titles, and we rewound like 100 times to try and understand stuff better.     It was a fun show, but made me feel dumb.

I watched WW84 this weekend. I was pretty loaded in anticipation of it being terrible, but didn't think it was as terrible as everyone said it was going to be.

Coming 2 America was very good, well it was essentially the exact same movie but done in reverse.

Coming 2 America was definitely entertaining. I'm just not a big Leslie Jones fan, but other than that, I enjoyed it.

They're both dead but I'd love to see what Billy Ray Valentine is up to.

Also watched Coming 2 America yesterday - overall pretty meh and sort of a disappointment.  It had a handful of laughs and in fact I literally LOL'd when the girl was still barking and jumping on one leg.  Arsenio was basically non-existent in this and didn't have the same magic/chemistry with Eddie from the original movie.  Wesley Snipes was very good though!

The Semmi character wasn't really visible in Coming To America either once they got to Queens. Other than the bar scene, the only other Semmi scene was him in the hot tub in the apartment when the king shows up. Arsenio's contribution was with the My-T-Sharp crew.

O my yes, both scenes were still top notch.

I overall enjoyed it, I know the premise of the first one is fairly sped up (finding a wife in 30 days) but that was really the overall "issue" if there was one with Coming 2 America, it was all incredibly convenient plot devices to make the story go forward, from how he had a son, to finding him, to getting him back to be prince, to his eldest daughter getting over her essential birthright being stolen from her to him, to getting it back, all of it was, rushed, but I also "get" it.

I also enjoyed the direct joke at making fun of hollywood, and remaking movies 30 years after the fact, and when no one asked for it either, which I thought was a great jab at itself, and I think in general really what made the movie work, it was made to be entertaining and fun, and it did not take itself too seriously. Lots of great cameos/featured people, expected (and proper) throwbacks to the original (even getting the whole Randolph and Mortimer pseudo in the mix), and also being something that definitely "fit" with a continuation of a story 30 years later. Everyone looked as you'd expect after 30 years, acted as you thought they would, etc, made it feel more natural. It's not the best movie, or the best sequel to anything, but it did enough to be fun, entertaining, and worthy enough sequel.

I entered with low expectations and laughed a lot. Just as cheesy as the original. Great cameos.
