Speaking of Brad Pitt movies, I saw Fury over the weekend.  Pretty damn good.

A couple years ago some channel showed it unedited starting around 8pm constantly. It sucked me in probably 5 times in 5 months. It’s very good. The tank loader character is one of the most intriguing characters I’ve seen. I equally hate him with the fire of 1,000 suns and feel sorry for him.

I’ve never seen Gangs of New York, but I think I’m going to next weekend.

I laugh every time I see that gif of DDL taking off his hat & coat. I know people post that seriously on twitter, but it looks hilarious to me. There’s no way that’s from a prestige movie. It looks ridiculous. Him, his mustache & the costumes looks so goofy. The first 100 times I saw it I thought it was from a parody & not a serious movie.

it's a good movie, i hadn't watched it until just a couple years ago and have seen it several times since

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Finally saw Wonder Woman.  Very enjoyable. Full of heart as they say.  Not quite as good as Shazam! but better than anything DC since Batman Begins.

GONY: 5.5/7

DDL: 7/7, Everything else in the movie: 3.5/7.  DDL is awesome in this. The rest, besides the opening scene, was very meh.

Caught a little bit of Midway tonight. Looked good. I'll let you know how it is after I watch the whole thing this weekend.

I apparently sat down and watched more than I had realized. I like war movies and this was a good one, but not a great one. 5/7

In talking with friends, I've found discussing this movie to be rather divisive. Strong feelings on both ends of the spectrum.

Hard for me to understand how someone would have strong feelings against Knives Out unless they just hated Daniel Craig's Southern accent.

I didn't care for it and I'm certain it was due to his accent.

Haven't seen it yet, but yes, Abby Hoffman was from Massachusetts, western mass to be precise which is a slightly different accent than Boston.

The actual Chicago 7 Trial was way more interesting than the movie.  Sad that the movie was not good enough.

Wife and I are watching 'American Psycho' tonight.

This is the second time you've said this but you haven't really offered any examples of what the movie missed that would have made it better.  :dunno:

well for one, Abbie Hoffman handed a witness $5 after they came off the stand.  For another, Ginsburg and Arlo Guthrie testified and performed.

So good.

That Western University fight song is an ear worm, and I love that they used actual players and coaches, the basketball scenes are so good.

I watched that movie in the Hutchinson movie theater the day before Brian Goolsby and Dodge City came from behind and beat us in the substate finals.
