Well just to disregard your in bruges being dull comment, our guy ksuw was really hung up on ex machina being terrible and it was like a running gag here in the movie thread

And by running gag I mean it was a movie he kept on bringing up as a movie he hated for no other reason than everyone else seemed to like it

Haha mocat of course I know who known stud Brendan Gleeson is, not sure why I didn't type his name out in my post.  And yes the fact that he's Domhnall's father is the cherry on top of the Kazzdub sundae.

Someone else on this board with Showtime! :surprise:

The Comey Rule was very good, the makeup person should win an emmy, the likenesses were uncanny. I thought it was going to be overhyped, but it delivered.

Brock, are you going to watch The Good Lord Bird?

Wellllll I don't actually have Showtime but I do have a questionably legal app on my Firestick.  Therefore that one isn't on my radar since I haven't seen any commercials for it.  But since you mentioned it I'll put it on my list of shows I want to catch up on.

I'm undecided. I am interested in seeing a show about John Brown, however I'm hesitant about them weirding it up. Either give me historical drama or a weird show, I don't know about doing both.

I just canceled my Amazon Showtime sub and immediately saw the John Brown show and thought I should've waited.  I'll probably just catch it through questionable means.

I imagine it would be difficult to make a show about John Brown that isn't kinda weird.

watched WILDLIFE lastnight with Jake Gyllenhaal.  Paul Dano's directorial debut!

It was a pretty good movie.  Slow.  Gyllenhaal might be my favorite actor.

I've prob watched the opening scene of GONY 30-40 times. All time GOAT scene. Prob finished the movie about 3 times. still a very good movie.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Watched a modern take on Little Red Riding Hood, except Little Red Riding Hood is an illiterate white trash teen girl with her heart in the right place, and Kiefer Sutherland is the big bad wolf in the form of a freeway killer.  Little Red Riding Hood lives in LA and steals her mother's beat up Dodge wagon after her mom gets popped for prostitution (Amanda Plummer).  LRRH then goes to grandma's house (trailer) in Stockton.  Not a Reese Witherspoon fan, but she did a great job acting her character.  Brooke Shields is the serial killer's wife.  An interesting movie.

IPA Fiance loves finding movies that make me cry.

The Hollars. I was good until the last fifteen minutes or so. Lost my crap.
