My kids were watching Aladdin this morning. It might be the worst animated movie of all time. Its terrible.

dude it sucks. the genie scenes are the worst. everytime he's on screen there's about 60 jokes crammed into the space where 1 should go. its the equivalent of a cinematic sledge hammer.

Watched all the Godfather movies for the first time this weekend. Actually we watched "The Godfather Epic" which was the first two combined into one movie, followed by The Godfather Part III.
The third one really was terrible compared to the first two.

eff it I'm digging in. even the non genie parts suck. Aladdin is completely white bread as a character. Oh he has to steal only what he can't afford? Man what a rebel! If only he could be tamed.

And the parrot? sheesh. its like less funny than the genie. And how freaking stupid is the sultan? DUR HUR DUR JAFAR YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE CLEARLY AN EVIL SORCERER! Jasmine is whiney too.

And in terms of animal sidekicks, the monkey gets a 3/10 at best

Listen I didn't want this. At 715 this morning I walk by the TV and see Aladdin on and was thinking "hey I like Aladdin, I'll watch for 20 minutes before I have to leave."

I mean, I guess if you love pop culture references to Joan Rivers and Johnny Carson, bland completely straight forward characters, in the context of a middle eastern backdrop from 1000 years ago with some shnazzy jazzy dancing song and dance routines then Aladdin is pretty good.
