We watched Nightcrawler this weekend. JG was very creepy, but the whole movie overall was not spectacular.

Finally saw Birdman. Probably the best movie I've seen this year, but still not amazing. It just wasn't a great year for movies.

Fox catcher  :frown:
Anyone? I was not expecting that. Also, did they.....?

I thought it was good, Wacky. Always interesting to see an actor like Carrell play a serious role when you're used to seeing him in comedies. I had not heard the story of the Schultz Bros before so the ending was a little surprising, but also kinda predictable.

And for a couple moments in the middle of the movie I wondered the same thing :surprised:

(I don't think they did tho)

Suffered through The Happening. My wife would not let me turn it off. M. Night Shamalamadingdong should never be allowed near a freaking camera again. JFC that was awful.

Watch The Village, it's his best work.

other idea: google "divorce attorneys"
I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps, etc.

I liked it but it was mainly due to the the style.  If it had been shot by anyone else, it would've flopped.  I'm excited for their next movie.

watched guardians of the galaxy this weekend

it was fun

from what I have seen of the Super Avengers (last five minutes on IFC) I guess they are friends or something and will have hijinx in the next Super Guardian Avengers Men movie (or at least going to fight that one wrinkle faced guy who can live in outer space on a rock). Probably won't watch it.

The RL Mark Schultz was supper pissed for even suggesting that they did, after the movie came out.

Focus is a pretty fun movie. Nothing over spectacular, but a good time had by all.

Took FreundinSonntag to see CHAPPiE.  It was a little corny, so if you're expecting gripping sci fi its not that.  If you can get over that and just laugh at the cheese, its a pretty fun movie.
Just saw this one.  Die Antwoord was great and introduced me to the concept of zef, (sort of J-burgh ghetto fabulous).  Accents were , hippo supposedly had a zulu accent.  Chappie's growth/maturing was fun to watch.  Nothing really new on the subject of AI.

When did they switch from being street racers to high-level crime fighters?
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

A little bit, but I got it. Ms. Wacky wasn't thrilled, but I thought it was really interesting.
