Picked up Lone Survivor and Whiplash today. Just finished LS...

not kidding when I say it was difficult to watch.

Excited for Whiplash, though.

Babadook was excellent. Good horror and also good depiction of parents sometimes regretting their shitty kids (I imagine this is the case pretty often)

Days of Thunder - A lot of famous actors in the movie. Drivers go from spinning out to competing for first in about 30 seconds a lot. Seems far fetched but I don't really follow racing.

Collector/Collection movies - Slightly better Saw movies I guess. I really don't know why a murderer would booby trap someone else's house after already having captured them, but whatever.

Days of Thunder is an unintentional comedy movie about racing. I still watch the hell out of it when it makes its weekly appearance on CMT.

It doesn't get the credit that Top Gun gets but it is right up there

Watched Still Alice. Excellent acting + excellent script + excellent directing = excellent movie. Alec Baldwin is a stand-up guy in this.

just finished it, wow, that was probably the best documentary i have ever seen. was probably the closest thing you could ever get to IRL about security breaches and the cover-up and governments coming down on a single person. most movies couldnt write crap that comes close to how awesome that whole thing was.

Whiplash was great. Not a movie I expected to like based on the plot, but it was just a damned good entertaining movie. You should watch it. I actually enjoyed it more than Birdman, though I still would say Birdman was the best picture.

I want to check out foxcatcher next.

Foxcatcher was alright - not that it is supposed to be but it isn't nearly as fun as whiplash

Suffered through The Happening. My wife would not let me turn it off. M. Night Shamalamadingdong should never be allowed near a freaking camera again. JFC that was awful.

Took FreundinSonntag to see CHAPPiE. It was a little corny, so if you're expecting gripping sci fi its not that. If you can get over that and just laugh at the cheese, its a pretty fun movie.
