the aviator sucks

I enjoyed it. It was nominated for 11 academy awards, so I'm sure lots of other people enjoyed it, too.

Birdman was excellent. It's an above average role for Edward Norton and that is really saying something.

He was in two movies last year, and they were by far my favs of '14. He is such a delight.

ed norton had a streak of 3 straight movies that are the best 3 straight movie appearances by any actor in the history of the world.

1998-1999

Rounders
American History X
Fight Club

Harrison Ford had

1980-1982

Empire Strikes back
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Blade Runner

Ed Norton's run was better, Harrison Ford's was more popular. I think they're both fine with that.

Fight Club sucked.
You're a rough ridin' monster.

Fanman, you think HIMYM and The Hills are among the top tv shows of all time.    I'll take that as a compliment.

Robert De Niro:

Godfather pt. 2 (1974)
Taxi Driver (1976)
The Deer Hunter (1978)
Raging Bull (1980)

All of these are on the AFI Top 100 list.

That Thing You Do came after Toy story.

10 year old me thought that movie was pretty great, I'm afraid if I watch it as an adult it will ruin that .

Including btb Best Actors for Philadelphia and Gump, and he was worthy of both. I mean, I would rank a quite a few actors above him, but in terms of good movies, he might be the king.

norton only had 2 years to put together 3 fantastic movies. he was probably not sleeping at all, just acting his balls off.

Yeah, it's not bad or anything. It's not as good as the other movies on that list, though.

Birdman. Probably not a movie I'd watch twice - just wan't that "fun" - but I can understand the hype and why it's going to win Best Picture. Probably film editing too?

I used to listen to the soundtrack to that thing you do on cassette tape when I went to sleep at night.
