Guardians of the Galaxy - NOT AS GOOD AS ADVERTISED BUT OK.

redbox'd and watched last night. pretty good... funny, but probably just an average marvel movie. kind of neat that disney/marvel can take a largely unknown cast of characters and make a popular movie.

I'd never heard of the comic book, was suprised to know it started in '69.

I LOL'd that Vin Diesel voiced Groot.

I was all excited when I saw Karen Gillam was in it   :fatty:   then bummer when she was blue and bald.

Loved Rocket....that guy!

Yes, the talking raccoon and vin diesel saying the same crap for the whole movie and hot babes were very great and lollers.  Just a damn fine movie.

The One I Love -  :star: :star: :raccoon:

Pretty good and worth a watch.  One of those movies that seemed to have a pretty solid concept and just didn't quite deliver on it.

No.  I was trying to share in your and Tonya's enjoyment of this movie.  Tonya is kind of being a bitch though and won't celebrate with me.

Yeah, super neat.  I like how they cast people you don't know either.  Like who the eff were most of those actors?  And yet they totally nailed it.  Good for them is what I say.  Happy to have had the opportunity to watch it.

was referring to the characters in the movie, bread.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

I was referring also to the actors.  A double layer of anonymity and still excellence.

Yes. They were very good.  It had a couple of the typical fraternity cliches but I feel like they did a pretty good job of avoiding them.

next to her, guardians of the galaxy was probably the best movie i've seen in the last 12 months. some of you guys are complete idiots, because it was an absolute treat. also, lego movie was probably the third best, so chris pratt was in the three best movies of all last year. no way has that ever been done before. wow!

I wanted to like it, I just couldn't.  It drug on and on and I really disliked the wrestler guy.  eff he's awful.  Maybe if I'd seen it through to the end it would have made a difference.  The first hour and a half was pedestrian AF imo.

if you didn't enjoy the first 1.5 hours, then there was no need to follow it through. it was just more of the same.

i have two boys and pretty much watch all these types movies plus your thors and captain americas and every disney pixar type thing that comes along so maybe i'm judging it off of those. i liked guardians much better than all those. out of curiosity, name all the movies that you watched and liked more within the last 12 months.

I liked the Thors better.  Hemsworth and Hiddleston () are infinitely superior to Pratt and those other plebes.  Also the Avengers.  I like Captain America more too I suppose.  I mean I finished it without thinking about turning it off once.  We watch Pixar and Dreamworks constantly.  The eldest won't watch anything else.  I like the vast majority of them a lot.  That's why I was puzzled at my GoG apathy.

As far as the last year, I haven't seen too many.  I liked Edge of Tomorrow, Star Trek Into Darkness and Pacific Rim just fine.  Elysium and Oblivion were crap for the most part.
