Just imagine if Tom Cruise was in every movie that he isn't already in and then think about how much better those movies would be.  Wow, boggles the mind.

put tom cruise in every movie that he isn't already in, think about how much better those movies would be with tom in them and then boggle the mind and then replace tom with sly and think about how much better those movies would be than the ones that had tom in them and then reboggle the mind and then replace your mind with sly's mind and reboggle sly's mind x infinity

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Chingon is good at this, everybody else is not.  I would immediately cast Vin as golem and not think twice about it until he won an oscar.

bill paxton was an awesome bill paxton in that movie (eot)

Yes he was. Would have been a little out of character but hilarious if he had gotten in a "game over man!" or other homage to Aliens.

Yeah, totally.  Would have been rough ridin' even more lolzers if he had been mean to his younger brother and got turned into a talking pile of crap or had almost got sucked up in a tornado but saved himself with his own goddamned belt.  Too bad they missed those homage oppies.  Maybe next time, bud.

In either of those movies was Bill Paxton a soldier fighting aliens? Because that's what we has in Aliens and EoT.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

they are on that island or whatever and it seems interesting and you've got the clock in the middle and all this stuff going on with different characters that all have specialties and then they're like nope, boom, dead, helicopter and you're left going what in the world? the dvd must've skipped or something because i surely just missed fifteen minutes of stuff.

Book 2 ended that way, too. Book 3 is much, much worse. Just a complete trainwreck. Basically, Katniss mopes around in between dressing up to be the face of the resistance, so most of Book 3 is devoted to Katniss's mopey internal monolgues and descriptions of all her amazing dresses. There are no games, just a big war that the author had no idea how to write. It's just truly awful. The movie version will hopefully be better because it really couldn't be worse.

I agreed with you and then suggested other hilarious possible homages (homagi?).  Same team here, bud.

I didn't give away anything that's not in the trailers. Hope you enjoy the movie. Will Katniss survive? Will she choose Gale or Peeta? Maybe both? And most importantly, what will her dresses look like?  :ohno:

Does she wear a lot of dresses in Mockingjay? I must have missed that.

Also, Finnick is so hot!

Clothes I guess. Can't remember if they were technically dresses because I skimmed over those parts. I remember there was a lot of parading around in front of cameras filming commercials instead of actual fighting.

OK, idea time...

Why don't we do a Pak where we watch a movie?  Idea 2:  Pak at a movie theater?

These are bold and provocative ideas, I do not expect them to be well received by everyone.

Fury

Some very, very good stuff here inside an overcrowded plot and some downright silly action scenes. The best moments were the mid-action closeups. I haven't seen anything that so accurately depicts the fear/outrage a war-weary man must feel as he enters combat. Some of the shots last just a second but are haunting. The acting is great.

The plot is too much, these guys pack three wars worth of experiences into a single day. Also, the germans just line up to be slaughtered. They could have found better ways to give the audience the nazi blood we crave.

Not the smartest war movie around but definitely worth watching, imho.
