Anyone else going to see the new Hunger Games on Friday?

I'm going to see it Thursday.
 Ms. wacky is buying us tickets today for Friday. I'd be lying if I said i'm not totally hooked on this series.

I'm gonna cry when they show Peeta.

they are on that island or whatever and it seems interesting and you've got the clock in the middle and all this stuff going on with different characters that all have specialties and then they're like nope, boom, dead, helicopter and you're left going what in the world? the dvd must've skipped or something because i surely just missed fifteen minutes of stuff.

been a few years since I read the book, but IIRC they broke the dome, and it started crashing down and thats when they were extracted.

yeah but it all happened pretty abruptly and you never got anything really interesting. i don't know i'm probably expecting to much.
It's called a cliff hanger, daris.  :D But you're right, I never read the books and I was kinda like "wtf!" cause I knew I had to wait to know wtf was going on.

Yeah the movie was pretty much exactly like the book. Maybe RD just didn't get it that Katniss was shooting at that spot in the grid.

i get cliffhangers. that's not what i'm talking about. this was just hey look at all this cool stuff that we could do and these characters and it's going to get really interesting and then nope, boom, dead, minor suspense, credits.

i mean if it's like the book then i guess it just makes it a crappy book or something. dunno. seemed like a waste of a build up.

What about that one guy who died irl? He's in the third movie, right? It'll be interesting to see what they do with his character. I'm sure he finished the movie tho when he was alive. That's probably why he was doping up. He was probably pretty excited to be done.  :frown:

He had a few days left of shooting for the fourth movie when he died. My understanding is that they just removed his character from those scenes and gave his lines to someone else.

like two duck eggs in a tube sock

Frankamp has a 10 year old body

two duck eggs in a tube sock

 :dunno:

didn't expect this to be an inside joke with myself.

A TV edit of the motion picture classic TRUE LIES replaces the Bill Paxton classic line "ass like a ten year old boy" (wtf) with "like two duck eggs in a tube sock".

both strange ways to express the unique beauty of JLC, but apparently the former was not deemed appropriate for cable tv audiences.

He might only be in flashbacks in the fourth movie. Also, they actually filmed the 3rd & 4th movie at the same time since they are actually just parts of the same book.

@Mrs. Gooch. Nice. I thought about that. I've been watching a lot of breaking bad recently. Flashbacks are the thing these days.

Just imagine if Tom Cruise was in every movie that he isn't already in and then think about how much better those movies would be.  Wow, boggles the mind.

I like Bill as gandolf and Tom as aragon (sp?).  Zack Effron should be frodo.  Danny McBride is sam.
