i nostalgically started watching Robin Hood Men: in Tights last night. wow, it is so bad. it is so very bad. it has aged worse than The Untouchables  :frown:

i had to turn it off after about 20 minutes

the movie hasn't aged, you have

i guarantee you that movie is still paradise for a 13 year old.
I bet old balls, mocat, thinks American Pie is really bad now.

Watched "Her" last night. I dunno guys it wasn't really doing it for me. Like, the scene where the wife clowns him in front of the waitress for "dating his laptop" was my favorite part.

I have zero interest in seeing this.

"Her" is more a commentary on how we're all falling in love with our phones, social media, nrl friends than we are making relationships with actual people. I thought it was pretty spot on.

10 hours of flights yesterday, here's what i got in:

Lone Survivor ... pretty great, pretty awkward to get misty eyed at the end surrounded by people on a plane
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit ... meh
Enemy ... whoa. didn't see this one coming. total mind eff, what is going on? hauntingly suspenseful, really enjoyed this one, makes you think.

started Her... will report back once finished

Yeah, makes me think, what the eff am I doing watching this piece of crap. Too much haunting music, too much dumbassery & extra suspense for nothing.  This movie is maybe the most boring ever.

NO RACCOONS! NO STARS! FU JG, FU for making the most mind-numbingly boring movie ever.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I finally got around to seeing the new Transformers flick.  It was just awful.  With trailers I was in the theater for almost 3 hours watching something that you could arguably call a movie.  I was so pissed off I went and saw Deliver Us From Evil to get the sour taste from my mouth.  It was a decent horror/suspense flick.  Definitely worth a Redbox rental.

Sidenote: I watched Cheap Thrills and All is Lost on Sunday and both were fantastic in their own right.  Cheap Thrills is a dark comedy (I guess it can go in that genre) but leans on the dark side as the film goes on.  All is Lost is just a well made movie that is worth your time.

Beware Mr. Baker - Documentary about Ginger Baker, the drummer of CREAM and several other bands, was very entertaining. What a weirdo.

Watched the HBO mini series called House of Saddam.
Also watched documentary about Muammar al-Gadaffi, never knew he wanted to be King of Africa.

Entertaining but nothing earth shattering.

"The enemy" with Jake gyllenhal sp* might be the worst movie I've seen since new York minute. And I've seen a lot of movies since then.

Ms. wacky got pretty pissed at the end. She hates slow movies, but omg did she really hate the end.
