I'll add the Fly to my halloween watch.  I don't know that I've seen it in 20 years.  I'm open to other suggestions if anyone has them.  Uniqueness is a huge plus.

Infinity Pool. Super weird and unique. Has 2 scenes in it that I think about regularly. Non-goEMAW Paul and I discuss it frequently after seeing it a year ago. You can check my post about it last year at this time. As I described last year when I reviewed it, it's like a wild Black Mirror episode with a touch of psychedelics involved.

I really liked The Autopsy of Jane Doe and almost no one has seen it. It's a newish horror movie and the two main characters are Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox. Very original, too.

Trap, the new one by M Night Shyamalan became available on MAX. i was very intrigued by the trailer/premise. first half was pretty exciting, i like josh hartnett (maybe a childhood nostalgia thing?) but in the end, dud city.

Yeah, not great but I wasn't upset I watched it due to Hartnett's performance. Also pretty unbelievable how many original songs they had to write for this movie.

Just went through Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Alien: Ressurection. Alien was the only one I had seen before.

Alien: 5.5/7
Aliens: 5.5/7 (don't make the mistake of watching the extended version)
Alien 3: 5/7
Alien: Ressurection: This one I have a hard time rating because the first 3/4 are some of the most fun. It's exactly what you'd want from a horror/sci-fi collab. But good rough ridin' grief the last quarter of it sucks ball(s) and taints. It's the epitome of why everyone should follow the rule of not showing the monster too much. 2.5/7
