For every paid protestor that is arrested and convicted of a misdemeanor or more serious crime, the entity paying him to protest will be similarly prosecuted for conspiracy to endanger the public (or something that is constitutional) and required to pay something like $50,000. Companies are held liable for their employees in many cases.
I am all for peaceful protests, but many modern protests are instigated by paid protestors. We all have a right to peacefully assemble (well, unless it's COVID season and you want to go
to church), but our constitutional framers didn't anticipate paid protestors, especially those who are actively participating in and/or encouraging violence.
