Heh. My daughter is very uncoordinated. Includes fork and knife usage.

Dinner for me and the two girls.

cdubya, how is the air fryer on french fries.  rated on taste, ease of use and ease of cleaning.

I totally agree with Jay Day-O, Trim.  And sys, the fries are much better than fries baked in the oven, but not as good as fried.  I also did buffalo wings and they were awesome.  In short, I am now a true believe in air fryers.

I plan on trying other crap like chicken nuggets, and veggie pakora later today.  Very excited!

Did you do your usual slices? I love cookie sheet potato sides with some Lawry's.

Taste - 4/5
Ease of use -5/5
Cleaning - n/a I don't clean after every use

Pro tip - spray just a bit of oil on a bowl of potatoes and toss them prior to frying. Gives them the extra "fried" crisp you want.

Spinach and garlic parmesan chicken with creamy mushroom sauce tonight. Every step (besides slicing, duh) done in the InstaPot. ~20 mins total cook time. One bowl to chill cream and seasoning in fridge while chicken cooked halfway. 9/10 flavor, could use a little sear on the chicken.

3/10 pic because starving, smelled too good to "pretty up" plate for a pic.

I am going to copy that recipe, but without spinach.

I did chicken the other day with garlic and herb lowery's premed marinade, and then threw in a bunch of whole mushrooms.  It was fantastic.

On your chicken, did you thaw it first?

Usual slices would be very good in an air fryer.  Wedges would be good too, IMO.

Definitely use thawed chicken.

Here's the actual recipe... (if I did this right on Tapatalk)

Any chance you might try some fish? Would love to know how these air fryers handle a nice fish filet.

Fish is great in the air fryer, IMO.

Strong word of advice, though. Clean VERY thoroughly after that type of meal. Otherwise any and all the next dozen meals will taste/smell off.

I’m going to make red beans and sausage in mine today

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Please report!

I made a ton of it. will be eating all week. I like it a lot and will make it again. 2 onions, 8 cloves garlic, 3 peppers, 2 celery stalks, two hot smoked sausage round deals (previous five ingredients all chopped up like you would expect, sausage like 1/2 inch rounds), 2 lbs of small dry red beans, two containers of chicken stock, cajun seasoning, pepper, about 50 shakes of crystal hot sauce, threw in some other random off schedule spices but don't remember what. saute the first 5 ingredients in order with some canola oil on the saute setting, then add the rest and set it on high for 45 minutes and let the pressure release on its own. we have the jumbo (8 qt?) instant pot and the above was about maximum what it could hold.

What about the rice, when where did you add that in?

I didn’t. I could have served it over rice but never did. Probably would have been great like that.

Serious Eats:
Pressure Cooker Chile Verde

https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2017/03/easy-pressure-cooker-pork-chile-verde-recipe.html

I’ve made this, and variations of this, a bunch.  Standard version is not particularly spicy, imo. Adjust to taste. Works with beef or lamb too.

Just made chili today. Recipe my dad taught me a long time ago

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion
2 cans chili beans
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can Rotel
Chili chowder

Brown meat and diced onions. When down, dump all the other stuff in the pot. Season as desired. Set to crockpot high for two hours. Stir occasionally.

I love the chili in the instapot. One pot cooking rocks.
