So she told her husband that she picked up the money, and then "passed out". So her husband drove 90 in a 30 mph zone, ran all of the red lights, and jumped a few curbs to get her to the ER and save her life.

Correct.  What's crazy, though, is that they have been around a while and how some of them have been "revived" with narcan.  Radiolab had a good episode from something like 2014-2015 about this with EMS techs.  It's gotta be something like placebo/nocebo effect.
