Geese
« on: December 12, 2018, 04:46:51 PM »
I like watching them fly overhead in formation.  If I'm inside, and I hear them honking, I go out on the deck and watch them fly over.  The other day I saw a ton of geese flying over near Atchison.  I told everyone in the car to look at the geese, and everyone did, and I did also even though I was driving.  Do you like to watch geese fly overhead?

Great thread.

Have you ever noticed how mostly their spacing is perfect?  Sure, a few fall behind a little, but most of them maintain the exact same amount of space between each other.

I'll be impressed when they form a giant dong thrusting into a squawk mouf.

I heard that too.  Very smart.  Great job geese.

Also a new UPDATE to the thread:  I saw some more geese this morning.

How about the downgrade goose that forms the third short V arm off one of the back geese. What a rough ridin' idiot goose.

They’re like nature’s blue angels. Instead of bombs it’s goose poop and instead of pilots it’s just goose brains.

And instead of jet fuel it's just scraps of stale heel bread.

Yep, goose brains take the wheel.

Another interesting fact about geese is that they do not like it when you let my little poodle mix King Charles Cavalier Spaniels (aka Cavapoos) flexor lead have enough length to go up and sniff them. Do not recommend you do this.

If there is a walking path around a lake it’s like a litter box for all geese in the entire state to fly over to and take giant goose dumps on. They love it.

I worked on a job site for a corporate headquarters that had a bunch of lakes around and gooses would relax around the lakes and I was amazed at how much goose poop is all over the dang place. Also the gooses were really dang mean

I used to occasionally golf at Rolling Meadows in JC and that place was goose poop central sometimes.

they make me very uneasy.  geese are enormous and seem to be very confrontational.

i respect your space, Mr. Goose.  i recognize you're the alpha here.  now please stop looking/honking at me.

If a goose started running after me with its wings stretched out, I would just roundhouse kick its dang face.

When I was 6 I went with my dad hunting in Colorado (lived there at the time) and my dad shot one out of the sky. So I excitingly ran over to it to pick it up for pa. The only problem was, he wasn't fully killed yet and the rough rider bit me on the hand.

When they are on the road, they never get out of the way for cars.
