You know KU is planning on spending an s-load of money for improvement.  How about you suggest a grass court to the Jayhawks?  They always think of themselves as the Berkeley of Kansas; think of all that sunshine. 

My IRL KU friends call their school "Harvard of the Plains".  They actually believe it, too.  Whatever self-promotion and self-importance KU has institutionalized is wildly effective.

They are quite serious. Whatever indoctrination they receive at KU is second to none.  They talk about Lawrence being the best college town in the country (even though I don't think they've been to any other campus), the "view" at Memorial Stadium, etc.  I remember when there was a professional survey of quality of graduates in my profession, my KU friends were certain that KU would be #1 (they didn't even break into the top 100 university programs, K-State was in top 20).  They're all pretty delusional, which provides great entertainment, and the hope that if I ever need to pull a con, I can look to KU for inspiration.

I have met people IRL that were 100% serious when they said that their degree was worth more simply because it came from KU.

Haven't been able to make it back to MHK this season. How's the environment with the practice facility? Have they been opening it up for some sorts of pregame festivities/tailgating? Is everyone that had their tailgating spot moved just pissed and condescending AF?

Pretty sure it's open for kids to play on with slides etc but I just walked by it and did not go in

Yeah, they moved Willie's Fun Zone there and added some inflatables, is really cool but way the eff in the boonies for us westsiders.
