My grandparents were extremely smart, well read and successful until they passed well over 80.  They never thought immigrants were coming for their vacation home.  But they weren't rubes so maybe they not in the norm?

That being said, this is an AMAZING talking point and you should really hammer home that all old trumpers are completely befuddled morons.
