this is going to be controversial, but i believe that for as long as the game is relatively low scoring, willie should do full, deep pushups for the traditional celebratory pushup count.  obviously, i don't expect a mascot to do hundreds of full pushups in a high scoring game; however he should not assume that the game will be high scoring.  he should start with full pushups and then gradually transition to shallow pushups as the score elevates.
