Yeah.  This problem also arises when fascists tendencies get applied to the "Right" -- a group which tends to call for less government.  A lot gets lost if you're operating a right/left line spectrum -- e.g. where do you place fascists on that line/where do you place anarchists on the line?

So sys really should be the one who answers your question, because I think you and I and frankly most people agree with this. You can't put someone who doesn't believe in government on a political spectrum, it makes no sense. Only a dunce would favorably compare someone who wants to abolish all governmental institutions with someone who thinks the role of a government in a democracy is to take care of it's citizens. Same thing with the political right, you can't compare someone who professes to be a devout constitutionalist with someone who believes in dictatorial power.

A bit of a detour but this is what made trumpism dangerous, his most devout followers definitely seemed to be willing to crap on the constitution to allow a demagogue to do whatever the hell he wanted to do.

Officially charged
Thursday, Multnomah County DA filed criminal charges in 4 of the 14 cases, noting the other 10 remain under investigation.

Trevor Colter is charge with one count each of riot, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for actions at the ICE facility. Authorities said he threw something at officers, then resisted being taken into custody. They said they found him with a large knife, ballistic vest, bear mace, gas mask, collapsible baton, wire pull smoke device and three aerial fireworks.

Austin Nuchraska is charged with one count each of riot, =unlawful possession of a destructive device and criminal mischief for actions at the Democratic Headquarters in NE Portland. Court documents said that after he was arrested, police found 4 individual Molotov cocktails leaking gasoline.

Kai-Ave Douvia is charged with one count each of riot and criminal mischief near the Democratic Headquarters. Douvia is accused of using a metal pry bar to break at least one window.

Nicole Rose is charged with one count each of riot and criminal mischief near the Democratic Headquarters for allegedly using a baton to break at least one window.

You'll have to take it from there if you're needing a complete serious answer.  I'd been going with that it was a MCR cover band and some fans.

Mine? Thought it was fairly obvious and plainly stated. It's stupid to associate anarchists with any part of the political left, because they are by definition apolitical. The far political left doesn't want government abolished, in fact they/we/whomever the far political left is want the opposite of abolishing government.

Same thing with attempts to the fascists to the political right. Fascists don't believe in government, the far political right, at least they used to believe in a limited government role, but still want a government, fascists don't.
