Oh... perhaps it already has.

The construction workers of Ground Zero seem to be saying, if you want outreach, grab a shovel and help us rebuild as we have helped you.

It seems to me that turning an abandoned building into a community center is doing just that.  :dunno:

since I never said they didn't have the right to build it, the whole reading comprehension insult is pretty ironic.

BOOM Your still dumb

Love instances such as these.

What, you don't find it funny when someone calls another poster dumb, but in the process of doing so isn't smart enough to use the right words?

I guess I should have used this

The face palm was for me

I think calling it a community center is more form over function.  I doubt the Jews in lower Manhattan will be lining up to go into that place, and even if you're not Jewish no one other than Muslims and will be able to bare the smell of the building anyways (stereotyping joke  :opcat:).

Like I said, they can go ahead and build it (if you can find someone do it).  It's just a bad idea, whether you like it or not.

Yeah.  A good one too. That kind of anger displayed at something so inconsequential is disgusting - especially when it is rooted within ignorance and bigotry.

I'm in full agreement that stupidity should be grounds for execution, not so much religion.

Really?  That's the exact opposite from what I have observed.  Every mouth breathing dolt from my home town and those of my relatives seems to be a Republican.  Perhaps that's just a Kansas phenomenon.  Loads and loads of stupid people.

probably.  stupid people unquestioningly follow the status quo.  in kansas, that makes the republicans.  elsewhere, other brands of ideologues.

can't believe i contributed to this thread.   :D

Would decimate the democrat party Obama base.

The 6% remaining from that group, like Herman Cain, Starr Jones, and Thomas Sowell, would sure bring refreshment to the world.

The reigning Miss USA has come out against the Ground Zero mosque, saying "it shouldn't be so close" to Ground Zero.

The 24-year-old Rima Fakih, is the first Muslim winner of the Miss USA contest and is preparing for the Miss Universe Pageant, scheduled for Monday in Las Vegas.

"I totally agree with President Obama with the statement on Constitutional rights of freedom of religion," Fakih told "Inside Edition" in an interview that will air tonight.

"I also agree that it shouldn't be so close to the World Trade Center. We should be more concerned with the tragedy than religion."
