Yeah. I thought the host was a hoot, and the whole thing seemed very uncontroversial to me. The cold open had nothing to do with politics, either :dunno:

They stepped way back on politics this year, because they got their asses handed to them in ratings. I didn’t know you guys enjoyed such mid comedy, but congrats, you’re one of the few who enjoyed it.

Snl is pretty great. It always has been and it always will be. Wacky will also always say the current cast is no good and that it used to be better. This will always happen. See you guys in five years for the same conversation.

They just lost their two most polarizing cast members while hitting record lows in ratings. Sure!

They don’t have a ton of talent right now.

As has been in its entire history. It’s funny when there are budding stars and not when there isn’t.

I've enjoyed this season. Of course I'm not a fuddy duddy. I continue to consume pop culture and I'm not stuck in my teens and 20's when everyone thinks SNL was funny.

Ratings are down for literally everything on television that isn't a live event and has been for years now. I'm certain that wacky knows this too. People don't watch TV on Saturday evening at 11:30 Eastern as much as they used to? Shocker.

I generally record it and watch it Sunday evening, like an adult. It was a fine episode. Pretty boring but not bad and Japanese Breakfast was great.

Wacky constantly cheering for things that have absolutely nothing to do with him to go poorly is pretty fascinating. Along with hatewatching TV at 11:30pm Eastern on a Saturday night

Side note I went to a recording of the Amber Ruffin show (Peacock) at Rockefeller Center. It was on the same floor where they record SNL and was cool to see.

(wacky don't watch amber Ruffin you would hate it)

Classic libs are doing their best to cheer along this shitty product that started to plummet the moment they got woke. I also find it super adorable that MIR is defending the ratings, when he use to post their successful ratings on here. Go woke, go broke, folks! #facts.com

I also record it, no way in hell am I watching a 90 minute TV show live at 10:30 on a Saturday night, lol. I've been recording SNL since the 90's. Did not enjoy Japanese Breakfast. I didn't love the musical acts this year.

In just a year, MIR has changed his tune on if ratings are important or not for the show. You can't make this up.

I'm a very well renowned critic. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Watching it live is around 40% of the fun for me. My 13 year old makes popcorn on the stove for us and we watch it together. I also lived at 12th and vattier and college and would go out to the bars and then walk back home to watch snl and then walk back and rejoin everyone when it was over.

Someone-“where Daris go?”
Someone else-“probably back to his place to watch snl. He’ll be back soon.”
Another person probably-“oh well that’s totally normal and not weird at all”.

Help me out with something wacky, how does me posting that link means that I think ratings are important or unimportant? For the record I said neither. Stating that ratings are down for everything that's a live event isn't a statement of importance, is a statement of fact. Your goalpost gif is cute but either you misread multiple posts in your quest to be a heel, or you just built a whole ass strawman in your quest to be a heel.
