At what point does Bernie go to the “I couldn’t tank the market anymore than the current guy!”

I think the market is starting to react to Bern this way now.  I think its:
40% Reacting in concert with global exchanges;
20% Coronavirus reaction as it pertains to the US economy specifically;
20% Bernie Election;
20% Locking in a correction for a base to build from with a Trump re-election.

Granted, the first two are essentially tied together for the majority what's happening.

something, something wine caves.

I’m pretty sure Liz actually said “well, all the MEN have one” when making excuses for her flip fop on PACs. Talk about amazing message discipline. :love:

This “correction” is entirely about Covid 19 (cool name) and, more accurately, government and media hysteria to the virus. The markets DNGAF about Bernie at this point. It is pretty gross watching the Dem candidates trying to make this “Trump’s Katrina.” But politics gonna politics. In the meantime, now’s a sweet time to refinance and invest.

Why would they want him to be the nominee? He's only a Democrat when he runs for president.

To be fair, Trump could be doing A LOT more to curb US and global panic about the virus.

No, it's true. See above (but I repeat myself). Do you really believe Dems don't want to pump the hysteria about this?

No one is leaving before Super Tuesday, it doesn't make sense to do so, there's only two day's difference, it costs nothing to stay in. The bloomberg news, if true, is surprising. It screams to me that he or his people have gotten word that something coming out  might be a bombshell. That coupled with how he's polling, may be a sign to call it, literally, a day. Tuesday, March, 3 will go down as the single most expensive bust in the history of the world, half a billy to be one and done.

I don’t know how the mind of a billionaire works, but Ive got to think he still has a long term strategy here. They may be waiting to see if it’s worth continuing as a Democrat or going Independent, but I have a hard time believing Bloomberg thinks his bid might be over at this point when he hasn’t even been on most (any?) of the ballots so far.

I think Biden is going to win SC big and continue on the basis that he can win The South.

It’s going to be fun seeing who gets blamed as being the candidate propped up by pubs voting to sabotage the primary.

Pre-Corona scare he probably made enough to cover his spending over the time frame.

Agreed. But if he loses SC he is 100% dead in the water.
